Last Thursday%26#8217;s Park Place Jaguar event at The Million Air hanger was attended by 700 guests. We had Mod British turkey, lamb and beef shepherd%26#8217;s pie from a made to order Chef%26#8217;s bar, mini fish and chips in English newspaper cones and everyone%26#8217;s favorite, bacon wrapped stilton stuffed figs!

The space was knock out gorgeous designed by RSVP Design and Mitchel Gold Bob Williams Furniture.

The gin was most delish Hendrick%26#8217;s and sound was by Sonos and Devance. Luxe Magazine covered the event and brought%26nbsp;great guests.

The Venue at 400 North Ervay

Today I discovered The Venue at 400 North Ervay and I fell in love. The building was built in 1930 and is the home of the Main post office as well as the former home of our federal court. The rooftop is urban and modern while the party area is a beautifully decorated antique court room. The space is flexible and Sarah and Kristin are the uber planners that run the space. They make it easy and the pricing is a value. The ideal Summer party would be cocktails and hors d%26#8217;Oeuvres in the main post office lobby, dinner in the court room, followed by dancing on the roof above the brilliant city streets below. Love it!

Dallas Heritage Village

Recent Event at Seven at 150

We recently worked at Reg Land%26#8217;s Seven at 150 at the International at Turtle Creek for the Junior Assembly Dance. The Junior Assembly is a consortium of five private schools in Dallas. Elements included basketball games, Ping Pong table, DJ, Dancers, and a state of the art computerized graffiti board. The teenagers enjoyed pizza, donut holes, hot chocolate and a black light d%26#233;cor.

The amenities of this venue are easily transformed into an adult party. It features a tunnel entrance, private library, imaginative furniture and a very long built in buffet area. The bathrooms are well appointed and there is a private dressing area perfect for brides and their party.

Simple hors d'Oeuvres

Here are some easy hors d'Oeuvres that we served last week at Capital Distributing's Open House.

Plum Glazed Bacon Wrapped Dates.

Slit a dried date and stuff with the best cheese you have .

Wrap in a slice of pre-cooked bacon and glaze with plum jam.

Spiced up with sirrachi chili sauce as they come out of the oven.

HIgginbotham DFW Joint Inns of Court meeting

Last night's Joint Inns of Court meeting for 400 guests at the Frontiers of Flight featured a simple steak and grits entree. The grilled orange salad featured seasonal greens, toasted walnuts, feta cheese and our house vinaigrette.

Frontiers of Flight Museum is a perfect venue for a group that wants to explore and mingle prior to dinner and it can easily accommodate 600 guests.

Late in the Holiday Season we did a Country Christmas Open House for a long time client, complete with hay wagons, reindeer, children's craft areas and a regional menu. Kristina Bowman shot photographs of guests with the reindeer as they entered and M%26amp;M did a Hay Baled Texas sized tent!

We did lots of parties to celebrate the money raised during the Live United Campaign this past month.%26nbsp; One that stands out was a seated dinner at the Women's Museum in Fair Park for 80 guests that Texas Intstruments did for their leadership counsel.

We served our house salad.

%26nbsp;Recipe for our House Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing:

1/2 cup water

1/2 cup balsamic vinaigrette

1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil

1/4 cup fresh basil

1/4 cup honey

2 tablespoons of dijon mustard

salt and pepper to taste

Our table was Fall Theme. The Hors d'Oeuvres were Plum Glazed Bacon Wrapped Dates, Mozzarella Tomato with Sundried Pesto Skew, and Seared Beef on Potato Cake with Chive Mustard.%26nbsp; Dessert - Mini Shots of Chocolate Mousse Topped with Whipped Cream.

2 oz White Cranberry Juice
