2001 People's Choice Awards
Again,
the People have spoken. (Who these people are, we're
really not sure - like the voter who responded "Straight
down Central" to "Best location for DART
rail expansion." Or the voter who cited McDonald's
as having the "Most Unusual Menu." OK, let's
break this down. Everything's either fried, processed
or prepackaged - unhealthy, but not unusual).
And as is usually the case in journalism, when people
speak, we write.
Which is what
makes this, the 10th. annual People's Choice Awards,
the, well 10th annual People's Choice awards. Park
Cities and Northside People reader honors went from
favorite DISD and HP teacher to Best New Idea for
Next Year.
In a nod to an
assortment of annual winners, this year's People's
Choice awards also include a Hall of Fame.
So thanks to those
who voted, and congratulations to those for whom they
voted.
Best Caterer: Wendy
Krispin just sounds like a caterer. She also cooks
like a caterer. Which is appropriate, of course, since
she is a caterer - and the People's Choice at that.
Hall
of Fame: The Hall of Fame is for People's Choice
Award winners that have won for several years. Best
Caterer - Wendy Krispin
