Q and A with Wendy Krispin
Wendy Krispin Caterer to The Rich and Famous, Loves Avocados "The Sopranos" and Never Buys Generic

As is happens, it is a good assumption that Wendy Krispin is about the "most well-known" caterer in town. Her company might also receive the "most prolific" title because last year they catered 997 different events!

Wendy's love of cooking came early. She and her siblings always took part in preparing the family dinner. She claims her parents were great cooks.

Mostly she is known for her stylish presentations. Wendy Krispin Caterer's provides elaborate decorations, entertainment and flowers, if needed.

Menu Specialties are multi-ethnic or Texas chic, but all parties are customized.
Over three-thousand guests were served at Nordstom's opening and she did a dinner for fifty-five guest for Vice President Al Gore.

She was the one selected for the fabulous opening of Legend Airlines.

Many regular clients trust her so much the merely call with the number of guests and the date they want.

What is the date and place of your birth?
I was born in 1961 in Livonia, Michigan

When and under what circumstances did you move to Dallas?
I had a friend moving to Dallas. I had read about Marty's Gourmet and thought it would be a fun place to work. Here I am.

What do you like most about this city?
Dallas embraces ambition and hard work. The people are fair and kind.

Name another town you love?
Franklin, Michigan. It's beautiful, with a fabulous cider mill.

What do you recall vividly about high school?
Leaving it behind.

What do you remember the most about college life?
Working before and after my classes.

What is the worst job you ever had?
Working in Detroit in Kroger's fish department. I was scaling and filleting hundreds of fish a day. It was terrible.

My advice to a 20 year old would be:
Work hard and be optimistic.

What is the worst problem in our country today?
Without Question I would have to say the state of our Public education system.

My best asset is:
Perseverance and my work ethic. I'm not afraid to Try new things.

What is your most treasured possession?
My father's cufflinks.

What charities to you feel strongly about and support?
Genesis Shelter, AIDS Arms, EXCAP

Best vacation Spot?
Avignon, France

What makes you laugh?
My friends. Constantly.

If you could eat only three foods the rest of your life what would they be?
Avocados, onions and garlic.

What excites you most about the future?
Simple solutions to major problems. Cures for diseases, Green Industry, and more assistance for those who need it.

Perfect happiness is when I am:
When I am working in my garden and yard.

Anyone who you wished you looked like?
Catherine Denueve

How do you like to spend your leisure time?
Gardening and reading.

Who do you think Hollywood casting directors would cast?
Probably Kathy Bates.

Any personal or business goals?
Several. But most of all I would really like to have a baby someday.

What is your favorite sport as a participant?
Skiing

All-time favorite movie?
"It's a Wonderful Life" and "It's In The Water", a film made in Dallas that I helped to produce.

Favorite book?
"Portrait of an Artist", James Joyce

And Song?
"The more I see You", Chris Montenez

Television Show?
"The Sopranos"

Do you have pets?
Two West Highland Terriers and a Toy Chihuahua.

What do you love about your job?
Everyday is different.

What accomplishment are you most proud of?
Being able to help my family.

This life is entirely too short not to:
Have fun!

What really annoys you?
Traffic

Who are people (living or dead) you would like to visit with?
My dad, Eleanor Roosevelt, Jackie Onassis, Frank Sinatra.

The first, and second thing you would do after winning $50 million?
Write a check for 3/4 if it to charity. Call my accountant, or visa-versa.
